T minus 2 days and counting until we leave for the UK!
I’m so excited to have an excuse to head back to England on Monday. I was ecstatic to find out that The Geneva Project – Truth was being honored at the London Book Festival on January 23rd. It was chosen as Runner-up in the Young Adult category and I couldn’t be more proud.
I visited London for the first time in 2011 with my husband as part of our European Vacation we planned for our anniversary and instantly fell in love with the city. We’ve always wanted to return and this opportunity was the push we needed to make that dream come true.
We plan to make the most of our week in London and I hope to blog about our adventures and our first time attending a book award ceremony. I’m really looking forward to meeting so many of the talented writers being honored and hearing about their passion for writing and how it has helped shaped their work. It is truly inspiring just to be among these authors and beyond my wildest dreams to have The Geneva Project be included.
I’m hoping to have the opportunity to donate some copies of The Geneva Project – Truth to some local groups that would benefit young readers; schools, libraries, children’s hospitals, etc. It’s been a bit of a last minute trip for us, so I couldn’t do as much planning as I would have loved to, but I’ll make sure I spread as much of my book around the UK as I can while we’re there.
So check back over the next week and I’ll try to keep this blog updated as much as possible so our family, friends and awesome fans can keep up with our London adventures.
Feel free to comment and recommend places we should check out while in London. This is only our second time there and we’re always open to suggestions.
