This past Saturday, August 9th, 2014, The Geneva Project – Truth was honored with a Gold Medal in the Young Adult fiction category at the Florida Authors & Publishers Associations President’s Awards. It was truly an honor to be recognized for this national award. Sitting in a room full of talented authors, illustrators and publishers, I’ve never felt so blessed and I’m so proud of The Geneva Project.
I call it my little book that could. It’s been a long journey to get here; full of the trials of a first time writer and self publisher. But, it’s been a joyful journey and its brought so much happiness into my life and the lives of my young readers.
The Geneva Project is a story about hope, courage, friendship and self discovery. But, most of all it’s about anything being possible and being brave enough to follow your dreams. Through my fundraising goals, I hope to continue to share this book, as well as the next book in The Geneva Project series, with as many young readers as I can, to help encourage their love of literature and imagination.
Thank you to everyone involved with the FAPA. It was a wonderful night and I’m grateful for the recognition and honored to have met so many talented passionate people. Thanks you all so much for being part of this journey.
This is truly an honor.
The Geneva Project – Truth is available at Amazon.com Book 2 in the series is due out this Summer.
