School Days

I’ve been having such a blast at all my recent school visits.  Meeting the students and seeing their enthusiasm for literature is inspiring.  For me, connecting with the readers is what it’s all about.  They all ask such great questions and challenge me to be a better writer every day.

I love that they get so devoted to the books they love.  I have an incredible group of fans that have become known as the #BeliEVAs (a play on words inspired by the main character.)  Their voice on social media is definitely being heard.  I always remind them that they are the future and that they have to power to make anything happen, especially through expressing themselves through language arts.

I’m embarking on the next leg of my book tour this weekend, which will take me to Birmingham, Alabama.  I’m headed to four different schools to present The Geneva Project, how I became a writer and my love of language.
