Hello Friends, Family & Fans!
I’m so excited to be sending out this newsletter, because I get to announce to you all that, Lies, the third book in The Geneva Project series is finished! It’s with my incredible editor, Jaimie Engle, right now!
There’s still lots to do in order to get Lies ready to be published. One of my favorite parts of the process is choosing the cover art. I figured we could have some fun and choose it together. My amazing graphic designer husband came up with about 10 great designs. I narrowed them down to my 2 favorites, but now I need your help to decide which one to choose as the final cover. Vote for your favorite here and the one with the most votes will be featured on the book! I love having your input on this special part of the process.
As you know, giving back is very important to me, so I started a ONE-for-ONE program at the beginning of 2015. The concept is simple, for each book I sell from my website, I will match it by donating one book to a program in need. My goal is to donate 1000 books to schools, libraries and literacy programs this year.
I’m excited to announce that so far I’ve matched the sales of 258 books. That means I’ll be able to donate 258 copies of The Geneva Project – Truth to schools, libraries and literacy programs this year!
Thank you so much for your help with this project. Helping to give the gift of reading means the world to me and it will help inspire life long learners in children.
Books purchased from the following link are eligible for my One-for-One donation program. https://squareup.com/market/thegenevaprojectstore
(Important Note: only books purchased on the above link or at my book signings are currently eligible for the One-for-One program. Excludes sales on Amazon and B&N)
I’m currently hosting book drives to collect new or gently used children’s books to donate as well so we will have other great books to pass on to young readers. Click here for a list of locations. If you’re interested in setting up a book drive donation site at your school or business please contact me at Christina@thegenevaprojectbook.com
I’m looking forward to a summer full of book events!
First up, UtopYA! I cannot wait to attend UtopYA Con in Nashville, TN, June 18-21. This 4 day conference celebrates the YA industry. I can’t wait to meet so many fun YA readers and authors. I’ll be sharing an exhibitor table with Author Inger Iversen Thursday and Friday and hosting a signing on Saturday as well. If you love YA fiction, come check out this great event and say hi! Reader tickets are available here.
Next, we’re heading to NOLA Baby! I’m taking The Geneva Project to the Big Easy, to attend ARC NOLA July 30 – August 1. The Author & Reader Conference will host over 100 authors, with panels, workshops, book signings, outings with your favorite authors and much more. Reader tickets are available for $15 here.
Then, I’ll be heading up the east coast for my Pennsylvania book tour to kick off the coming school year. I can’t wait to visit my old high school and a few others near my home town! I will be touring the East Coast in late September of 2015 so if you’re interested in setting up a school or library visit please contact me to set a date.
Well that’s all the news for now. I hope to keep you informed on all the upcoming fun in the world of The Geneva Project with these quarterly newsletters. Keep following along through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. You are why I love my job. Stay active, I love hearing from you through social media, fan mail and 5 star book reviews on Amazon, B&N and Goodreads. Thank you for being the best fandom out there! TGP fans rock!
